KEWANEE – Rosemarie Versetto, 76, of Kewanee, died at 4:15 p.m., Sunday, June 24, 2018 at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 11 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. The Very Rev. Jerry Rafalko will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, July 2 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
She was born May 1, 1942 in Chicago, the daughter of Edward and Marie (Haderly) Nero. She married Joseph V. “Joe” Versetto on September 10, 1977 in Chicago and he preceded her in death on March 26, 2008. Survivors include nine children; Tracy, Walter and Robert Haderly, Donald, David, Raymond, Ronald and Jeff Seat and Patty Parker, two brothers, Albert and Carmen, three sisters, Charlotte, Georgette and Mary Lou, a half-brother, Anthony, three half-sisters, Anna, Carol and Cheryl, several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Edward Nero, a sister, Joan Nero and a half-sister, Charlene Nero.
Rosemarie had lived in Las Vegas, NV for 6 years and had worked at a fudge store in Wisconsin Dells. She was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed sewing, cooking, traveling, goto boats and in her earlier years, horseback riding.
