Shirley Ann Thompson

KEWANEE – Shirley Ann Thompson, 75, of Kewanee, died at 7:33 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2018 at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.

Cremation will be accorded and a time of fellowship and refreshment will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, January 12 at PL Damron’s Café in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born December 14, 1942 at St. Francis Hospital in Kewanee, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Doy) Thompson. Survivors include her brother, Alvin (Janice) Thompson of Kewanee, three nephews, Matthew (Deanna) Thompson and their daughter, Alexa, all of Morehead City, NC, Lance (Melissa) Thompson of Honolulu, HI and their children, Ryan of San Diego, CA and Allison of Charlotte, NC and Bryan (Rebecca) Thompson and their children, Kayla, Emily, Nolan and Brett, all of West Lafayette, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Shirley had worked as an office manager at FS for 44 years. She was of the Methodist faith and she enjoyed reading and traveling on family trips with her nephews around the United States and to Hawaii and Germany.
