ALTONA – Susan M. Willison, 67, of Altona, died at 3:05 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2019 at her home.
Cremation will be accorded and a memorial visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Private inurnment will be held at later date. Memorials may be directed to the Little John Conservation Club in Victoria.
She was born May 6, 1952 in Kewanee, the daughter of Walter Dean and Evelyn Marie (Knapp) Halsall. She married Charles “Chuck” Willison on March 27, 1976. Survivors include her husband of Altona, three children, Jake Willison of Altona, Lyndsey Bishop of Rio and Jessica (A.J.) Rebhan of Charlotte, NC, four grandchildren; Monika Mahnesmith (Jared Brodie) and Ashton Willison, both of Altona, Katelyn (Zach) Hiller of Fayetteville, NC and Kelsey Bishop of Rio and one great grandchild on the way, Baby Brodie, two brothers, Larry (Debbie) Halsall of Galva and Jim (Faye Dickey) Halsall of Galesburg and three sisters; Deanna (Don) Colgan of Galva, Bonnie (Bill) Carlson of Colorado Springs, CO and Anita Ziegler of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother in infancy.
Susan graduated from Galva High School and retired from Maytag in Galesburg after 31 years. She was a member of Little John Conservation Club and enjoyed camping and fishing. She liked dancing and listening to the music of local band, Solomon Sage of which she was an honorary member. She was an avid lover of Coca-Cola and also enjoyed antiquing, horseback riding, traveling, gardening and sitting by the campfire. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
