KEWANEE – Toni Maria Quick, 64, of Kewanee, died at 9:30 a.m., Sunday, October 28, 2018 at her home.
Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, November 4 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Tyrone Baker will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
She was born August 14, 1954 in Kewanee, the daughter of Harold and Darlene (Jordan) Moss. Survivors include her significant other, William H. Gordon of Kewanee, her children; Patricia Quick of Tacoma, WA, Detra Quick of Kewanee, Fannie Quick of Rock Island, Brandy Gordon of Kewanee and Pamela Quick of East Moline, three brothers; Randall (Vera) Quick of Lawton, OK, Bryan (Lori) Cook of Naples, FL and James Cook of San Francisco, CA, two sisters, Bonnie Baker of Kewanee and Christine Carter of Tacoma, WA, fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren with one on the way and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Louise Jordan, whom raised her and a granddaughter, Keiasha Moore.
Toni attended Kewanee schools and had worked as a cook for United Foods and Waunee Farms Restaurant. She grew up in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. She enjoyed reading and studying her Bible. She loved being with her family.
