William Donovan DeReu

KEWANEE – William Donovan DeReu, infant son of Blake and Jessica DeReu received his angel wings at 10:06 p.m., Saturday, June 15 at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital in Iowa City.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 21 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Pastor Matthew Noffke will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery in Wyoming, IL. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.

William was born at 5:12 p.m., Friday, June 14 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Bettendorf, the son of Blake and Jessica (Hollis) DeReu. He is survived by his parents of Kewanee, three brothers; Thomas DeReu (9), Wyatt DeReu (3) and Walter DeReu (2), all of Kewanee, maternal grandparents, Rodney (Tracy) Hollis of Wyoming, IL, paternal grandparents, Mike (Edith) DeReu of Kewanee, maternal great grandmother, Janet Ferris of Wyoming and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents and two maternal great grandfathers and a maternal great grandmother.
