GALVA – Xavier T. “X-Man” “Bubba” Hartman, 19, of Galva, died at 3:07 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in the emergency room at OSF Saint Luke Medical in Kewanee.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 25 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Pastor Don Reul will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 24 at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the services and private inurnment will be held in Galva Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
He was born March 24, 1999 in Kewanee, the son of Melissa Hartman. Survivors include his mother, Melissa Kelly of Galva, maternal grandparents, Tom (Judy) Hartman of Galva, two brothers, DeVaughn Hodge and Khalil Hodge, both of Galesburg, three sisters; Presley Grant, Miah Kelly and Willow Kelly, all of Galva, uncle, Wiley (Barbara) Hartman, two aunts, Trista (Dane) Anderson and Tammy (J.R.) Hartman, his girlfriend, Thali Empson and several cousins and great aunts and uncles.
Xavier attended Galva High School and had worked for FlexCourt Athletics in Kewanee. He was currently working for Timberlyn Lighting in Geneseo. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Galva. Xavier enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and making people laugh. He was also an outdoor enthusiast enjoying fishing and hunting.
