GALVA – Yvonne L. Raley, 77, of Galva, died at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018 in the emergency room at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 15 at St. John Catholic Church in Galva. Celebrant will be Fr. John Burns. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 14 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with recitation of the rosary at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. John Catholic Church.
She was born September 26, 1940 in Kewanee, the daughter of Floyd and Antinella “Nellie” (Antonivich) Baker. She married Thomas “Tom” Raley in 1959 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Kewanee. Survivors include her husband of Galva, a son, Peter Raley of Galva, a daughter, Laurie Beaman of Pocatella, ID, her sister, Lauretta (Larry) Wotring of Kewanee, four grandchildren, Ronnie Beaman, Tristine David, Jared Cramer and Ross Cramer and seven great grandchildren, Dillon, Caleb, Damien, Trinity, Ginger, Lilija and Ashton. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Yvonne had worked in the craft and fabric department at Wal-Mart for 20 years. She had also worked at Lily Tulip, RACO and as a playground supervisor for Galva schools. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She had been a den leader and had helped with cub scouts. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, her dog, Roman and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
