KEWANEE – Albert R. “Rich” Reynolds Jr., 68, of Kewanee, died at 6:21 a.m., Monday, February 17, 2020 at his home.
Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Rev. David Lorenzen will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Rich Reynolds Memorial Fund.
He was born June 15, 1951 in Princeton, the son of Albert R. and June (Young) Reynolds Sr. He had been married to Barbara J. Leverette. Survivors include his son, Jeffrey Reynolds of Kewanee, three sisters; Karen (Clare) Prowant of Florida and Roxann (Wayne) Petty and Anna (Cliff) Holmes, both of Kewanee, seven grandchildren; Michela, Josh, Delaney, Dakota, Kaitlin, Kallyee and Jeremiah, his special friend, Jerry Thompson and many UAW members. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Floyd, two sons, Michael and Richard, former wife, Barbara and his granddaughter, Marion.
Rich graduated from Galva High School in 1969. He worked as the financial secretary at Local #865 in Moline and had also worked in the factory at John Deere in Moline. He was an active participant of the Kewanee American Legion and a member of Hook & Bullet Conservation Club. He was of the Methodist faith, an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan and loved to argue politics. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
