KEWANEE – Alondra Isabel Acosta (Rosas), 21, of Kewanee, died at 5:19 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2020 in the emergency room at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island as a result of a boating accident.
A public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m., Thursday, June 18 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Due to the restrictions of COVID-19 face coverings are required. Private funeral services will be held at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family.
She was born September 4, 1998 in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of Oscar and Elizabeth (Espinoza) Acosta Sr. She married Gabriel Rosas Jr. on October 24, 2018. Survivors include her husband of Kewanee, her parents of Kewanee, her son, Matthew of Kewanee, her brother, Oscar Acosta Jr. of Kewanee, paternal grandparents, Roberto Acosta and Manuela Marquez, both of Monte Escobedo, Zacatecas, MX and maternal grandparents, Juanita and Miguel Espinoza, of Kewanee.
Alondra graduated from Kewanee High School. She loved shopping online, traveling and drinking lemonade. “Mommy shark Alondra treasured being a mom to her “baby shark Matthew” and wife to daddy shark Gabriel.
