Ann (Palmer) Barnes

Ann (Palmer) Barnes, born April 1942 passed away peacefully January 2025. Ann was the daughter of Carl and Ethel Palmer, sister to Jon, Paul and Dale. She was born and raised on her parents’ farm in Galva, IL. Ann graduated from Galva High and went into nursing school to earn her RN – a job she very much enjoyed.

She married John (Tim) Barnes, moved to Glenview, IL where they successfully raised three boys: Tim, Richard and Bill. Ann loved her boys and supported them throughout her life. She was a loving daughter and wife, a great mom, true friend and wonderful person.

She will find her resting place alongside her husband and amongst her family back where she always felt most at home – Galva. She will be missed but always remembered.
