Blanca E. Dowell

KEWANEE – Blanca E. Dowell, 72, of Kewanee, died at 1:45 a.m., Monday, July 10, 2023 at her home.

Cremation will be accorded and private inurnment will be held at Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name for a memorial to be established. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born September 3, 1950 in San Luis Potosi Ciudad Valles, Mexico, the daughter of Gustavo “Gus” and Bertha (Calderon) Interial. She married Donald D. Dowell on February 10, 1973 in Galva. Survivors include her husband of Kewanee, her son, Alexander (Erin) Dowell of Orion, IL, a brother, Gustavo (Becky) Interial of Galva, six sisters; Lelia Interial, Maria “Lulu” Interial and Juana (Roger) Sturm, all of Galva, Sylvia Hepner of Detroit, MI, Elia (James) Sall of Galva and Lisa (Kevin) Gerard of Foley, AL and three grandchildren; Hannah, Hayley and Alexander II. She was preceded in death by her parents and four children in infancy.

Blanca had worked as a beautician out of her home for many years. She enjoyed shopping, but most of all she loved her grandchildren and spending time with her husband.
