GALVA – Bonnie F. Warner, 88, of Galva, died at 10:20 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with Rev. Martin Gutzmer officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, September 30 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Galva.
She was born October 31, 1933 in Kewanee, the daughter of Lawrence and Ebba (Johnson) Fredeen. She married Marvin W. Warner on September 29, 1951 in Kewanee and he preceded her in death on December 26, 2001. Survivors include a son, Matt (Laura) Warner of Sherrard, IL, two daughters, Sandra (Mark) Doumas of Tucson, AZ and Tracy Lynn (Robert) Warner Brooks of Galva, seven grandchildren; Jared (Stephanie) Wexell and their children Jayden, Peyton, Grayson and Jocelyn, Ian (Leslie) Wexell and their daughters Addison and Noah and Kyle Wexell (fiancé Lindsey), Alex and Linnea Doumas and Abram and Marshall Warner and her brother-in-law, Dwain (Elaine) Warner of Galva. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Robert Fredeen, a sister, Dorothy McCraw, her daughter, Robin Ringberg, a grandson, Shawn Ringberg and her partner, Carl Matson.
Bonnie graduated from Kewanee High School in 1951. She had worked as the CFO and accountant for M W Warner Farms Inc. and in her early years had worked in accounting at the Walworth Company. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Galva and its Wesley Weds. She was also a member of GALFE and the Cousins Club and had been involved in Galva Youth Baseball and the junior football and baseball leagues. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and traveling to visit family and friends. She especially was a superfan of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved following their events.
