Bonnie J. Rogers

GALVA - Bonnie J. Rogers, 73, of Galva, died at 3:00 a.m. Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Hammond Henry Hospital in Geneseo.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with Pastor Rebecca Gearhart officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, January 31 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Lake Calhoun Association or to the Galva First United Methodist Church.

Bonnie was born on December 17, 1951 in Galesburg, the daughter of William and Eileen (Binge) Stock. She married James R. Rogers on July 16, 1973, in Cambridge. Surviving are two sons, Chad (Leslie) Rogers, of Galva and Jeremy (Sally) Rogers, of Milan; six grandchildren, Tristan, Tressa, Trey, Kendall, Brexton and Lauryn; a sister, Connie (Rick) Anderson, of Galva and a significant other, Ken Peterson. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Dwight and Jerry.

Bonnie graduated from Galva High School in 1970. She attended Iowa Wesleyan University. During her career, she worked in various roles at the Galva Foundry, Blackhawk Foundry and Branchfield Casting.  She enjoyed golfing, gardening and following the activities of her children and grandchildren.
