Brandon P. Kerg

KEWANEE – Brandon P. Kerg, 23, of Kewanee, died Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his home.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial gathering will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m., Thursday, April 28 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Graveside services and inurnment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. Family and friends are invited to gather at Misty’s in Kewanee following the services.

He was born November 13, 1998 in Kewanee, the son of Rebecka Self and step-son of Bruce and Robert. Survivors include his siblings; Damie-Ann, Christopher, Hailey and Junior and Myranda and Dallas, grandmother, Betty, aunts and uncles; April, Tabitha, Tiff, Chris and Amie, Trymeire, Bubba and Jason, nieces and nephews; Ariya, Roman, Nathan and Alayna and several cousins. He was also survived by his best friend, Skylar Finin and friends; Brandon Bryner, Sebastian Beckelman, Brad Worlow, Vinnie Fuller and many more. He was preceded in death by his father, Dustin Kerg, grandmother, Dorothy Tammy, great grandma, Glenna, his uncle and aunt, William “Billy” and Lori, cousin, Larry and nephew, Joseph.

Brandon graduated early from Kewanee High School with a 4.0 GPA. He had worked at Breedlove’s and Great Dane in Kewanee. He enjoyed playing Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, basketball and online gaming. He especially enjoyed going out having a good time with his friends and family.
