Carl W. Burton

KEWANEE – Carl Wayne Burton, 70, of Kewanee, died Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Arcadia Care of Kewanee.

Per his wishes cremation rites were accorded and no services will be held at this time. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born January 9, 1954 at St. Francis Hospital in Kewanee, the son of Bobby Gene and Mary Lou (Billingsly) Burton. He is survived by his daughters, Amy (Mike) Burgard of Kearny, MO and Michelle Burton of Kewanee, three grandchildren, Zach, Olivia and Max Burgard, all of Kearny, MO, his brother, Bobby R. Burton of Atkinson, IL, his sister, Carol Funk of Huntsville, AR, a brother- in-law, Marlin Tucker of Squires, MO, an aunt, Judy Haskins of Gainesville, MO and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and the Oldeens who were his adopted family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Brenda Tucker.

Carl had worked as a roofer for Oldeen Roofing Co. and for various other companies throughout his life, including Triangle Concrete and the Kewanee Park District.
