Carl E. Norbo

PEORIA – Carl E. Norbo, 70, of Peoria, formerly of Galva, IL and St. Louis MO, died Saturday, June 10, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Cremation will be accorded and private graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee at a later date. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

He was born July 31, 1952 in Kewanee, the son of George and Lorraine Netting (Evans) Norbo. Survivors include his three daughters; Amy (Jeremy) Lovekamp of Athens, IL and Cally (Chad) Stach and Nicolette Pysson, both of Cambridge, a sister, Dawn Abbott Petersen (Gary), a brother, Robert Abbott, four grandchildren; Taylor, Josh, Garrett and Hannah and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robin Norbo and a sister, Kim Abbott Thomson.

Carl had worked as a machinist and prior to retirement had owned and operated a lawn care business. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing and photography. He also enjoyed German Shepherds and had raised them most of his life.
