Chauncey "Chan" Stewart

GALVA – Chauncey C. “Chan” Stewart, 79, of Galva, died at 5:12 a.m., Sunday, June 22, 2025 at his home.

He was born on November 13, 1945 in Oxford, NE, the son of Kermit and Evelyn (Dulling) Stewart. Survivors include his three children; Bobbie, Chad and Kermit, two sisters, Edie and Linda, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, John and four brothers; Willard, Bob, Don and Larry.

Chan worked as a backhoe operator for a fiber optic company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Cremation will be accorded and no services are planned at this time. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is assisting the family with arrangements.
