KEWANEE – Christy E. DeBord, 67, of Kewanee, died at 4:05 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at her home.

Cremation will be accorded and no services are planned at this time. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born December 22, 1954 in Kewanee, the daughter of Robert and Florence (Meloen) Hayworth. She married Jerry L. DeBord on April 30, 1999 in Kewanee. Survivors include her husband of Kewanee, her five children; Douglas Haradon, Courtney Cole and Billie Jo Swearingen, all of Kewanee, Richelle DeBord of Waco, TX and Jeremy DeBord of Kewanee, two brothers, Rick Hayworth of Gainesville, FL and Brian McVickers of Dunnellon, FL, two sisters, Brenda Nimrick of Kewanee and Julie Elderkin of Morriston, FL, eighteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Barry, a sister, Rita and a grandson, Leeam.

Christy was homemaker who loved her dogs and collecting wolves and eagle memorabilia. She especially enjoyed being with her family.
