Connie S. Silvis

Connie S. Silvis, 63, of Kewanee, passed away peacefully at 9:49 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2026 at her home.

She was born on May 8, 1963 in Kewanee, the daughter of Charles Lee and Patricia Ann (Riggen) Nyert. She married Bob Silvis on September 25, 1979 in Kewanee. Survivors include her husband of Kewanee, her two sons, Ryan Silvis of Kewanee and Cole Silvis of Englewood, CO, three brothers; Kurt (LaVona) Nyert, Shawn Nyert and Chad (Jackie) Nyert and her four grandchildren; Alexis, Bradyn, Liam and Gage. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Connie graduated from Wethersfield High School and had worked as a waitress at the Barnhouse Restaurant in Kewanee for 23 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking and tending to her flowers. Connie loved everything Disney, especially her trips to Disney World. She also thoroughly enjoyed decorating her home for each and every holiday. Most of all she loved her family and cherished the time spent with them.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Pastor Andrew Christman officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, July 31 at the funeral home. The burial will be in Wethersfield Cemetery.
