WILLIAMSFIELD – Curtis John “Curt” Campbell, 29, of Williamsfield, died at 3:23 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria from injuries sustained in utility vehicle accident.
He was born May 14, 1994 in Galesburg, the son of Mark and Peggy (Filson) Campbell. Survivors include his parents of Elmwood, his son, Dean Patrick, fiancée, Katie Hiebert of Williamsfield, his sister, Kimberly (John) Forney of Elmwood and two nieces, Dawsyn and Jordyn. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Curt graduated from Williamsfield High School in 2012 and attended Black Hawk East. He farmed grain and livestock with his father. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, snowmobiling and especially farming. He loved his family and cherished the time spent with his son and his fiancée Katie.
Curt was a selfless individual with a generous spirit, giving the gift of life to many others through organ and tissue donation.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 1 at the Williamsfield United Methodist Church with family friend, Pastor Mike Herzog officiating. There will be no visitation. A private burial will be held at Williamsfield Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held beginning at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 11 at his farm, 1342 E. Knox Rd. in Williamsfield. Memorials may be directed to a fund for his son, Dean c/o Peggy Campbell at F&M Bank. Rux Funeral Home in Williamsfield is in charge of arrangements.
