Cynthia "Cindy" Carroll

LA FAYETTE – Cynthia D. “Cindy” (Charlet) Carroll, 68, of Lake Calhoun in rural La Fayette, died Monday, April 22, 2024 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg.

She was born July 8, 1955 in Kewanee.  Survivors include her mother, Nancy J. Carlson, her sister, Lynette (Kevin) Yepsen and niece, Markie VanDeVelde, all of Galva. She was preceded in death by her father, Laverne J. Charlet in 2017.

Cindy graduated from Galva High School in 1973 and has continued many of those friendships throughout her life.  She loved her dogs and cats and enjoyed golfing and drinking coffee on the deck of her cottage at Lake Calhoun.

Cindy was an artistic, multi-talented person and was known for her ability to refinish, refurbish and fix anything she touched. She was a jolly soul and if you knew her you will never forget her distinct, warm chuckle.

Cremation will be accorded and graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 30 at Galva Cemetery with Pastor Katie Gallagher officiating. Memorials may be directed to your local Humane Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.
