Dallas Renoud Obituary

GALVA – Dallas Kay Renoud, 79, of Galva, went to his heavenly home as he passed away on July 11, 2023, at Knox County Nursing Home.

He was born December 20, 1943 in Quincy, IL, the son of Kenneth and Susan (Hull) Renoud. He married Karen Dimmick on June 4, 1966 in Quincy. Survivors include his wife of Galva, his two daughters, Anne (Jeff) Kaiser of Galva and Laura (Chris) Hill of Littleton, CO and his four grandchildren; Mason and Sarah Kaiser and Ava and Carter Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Russell.

Dallas graduated from Barry High School in Barry, IL in 1962 and from the University of Arizona. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He had worked as an asphalt superintendent for Illinois Valley Paving and United Contractors Midwest. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Altona, Galva American Legion and the Alpha Zeta Honor Fraternity. He was a man of faith and devoted to his family. He enjoyed boating and fishing and especially enjoyed following the activities of his children and grandchildren. 

Cremation will be accorded and graveside services will be held at Green Pond Cemetery in Pearl, IL on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeffrey Gross officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the Pittsfield American Legion Post 152.

Memorials may be directed to Galva FFA chapter, Beacon of Hope Hospice, or the American Parkinson Disease Association.
