Dalyn M. Thompson

KEWANEE - Dalyn M. Thompson, 24, of Kewanee, died Thursday, October 10, 2024 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Pastor Stephen McGough officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral. The burial will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.

Dalyn was born on July 25, 2000 in Kewanee, the son of Zaffery and Angela (Thompson) Reed. He is survived by his mother, Angela Thompson, a 3 year old daughter, Alaia Thompson, his girlfriend, Susan Fugate, sister, Zaria (David) Reed, three brothers, Dionté Kenney, Dreadyn Howell and Gabriel Welcome, his grandmother, Terry Reader, his grandfather, Michael Bandy and grandparents, Earlene and George Thompson, his aunts, Zonie Dixon,  Sharae (Lucas) Girven and Danistriss (Mario) Fuller, his favorite uncle, Catrelle Reed and uncle, Landon Waddell, a niece Zayla Edens and several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Reed.

Dalyn had worked as a laborer in construction. He was an avid Chicago Bulls fan, enjoyed playing video games and he liked all types of music, but mostly rap. He especially loved being outside and surrounded around family, he had the brightest smile when he walked into the room and was always the life of the party and will be truly missed.
