KEWANEE – David W. Carman Jr., 34, of Kewanee, died Sunday, April 11, 2021 from injuries sustained in a vehicular accident.
Private graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee with James Hodge officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
He was born January 3, 1987 in Kewanee, the son of David W. and LeeAnn (Reed) Carman Sr. Survivors include his parents of Kewanee, his grandmother, Carol Reed of Kewanee, his two daughters, Katelyn Reese Carman and Abigail Renee Carman, his fiancé, Rachael Stead, three sisters; Autumn (Mark) Dobbels, Jennifer Scott and Crystal Carman, all of Kewanee, paternal uncle and aunt, Jerry and Gladys Krause of Kewanee, maternal uncle and aunt, Lane and Lorraine Reed of Kewanee and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Herbert Reed and paternal grandparents, Ernie and Doris Carman.
David attended Kewanee High School and had worked at Great Dane, Tyson and River Valley Co-Op. His greatest accomplishment in life was his two beautiful daughters whom he was very proud of. David enjoyed being outside in the sun, spending time with his family and friends, swimming and going for walks. He also enjoyed listening to music and working out. One of David’s fondest memories was rounding up his father and his buddies for the Princeton Tug of War Fest, where they won the championship two years in a row.
