KEWANEE – Debbie Lee Wittmeyer, 62, of Kewanee, died at 6:30 p.m., Monday, December 28, 2020 at her home.
Cremation will be accorded and private inurnment will be held at a later date at Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
She was born August 31, 1958 in Kewanee, the daughter of James and Phyllis Stringer. Survivors include her son, Aaron (Amanda) Sherbeyn, her two daughters, Amanda (Christopher) Smith and Angie Peterson, three brothers; Lance Stringer, Troy Stringer and Randy Thompson, a sister, Sharon Anderson and eleven grandchildren; Dillon, Brady, Drew, Emily, Alexis, MaKenna, Aiden, Taylor, James, Bethany and Makayla. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jodie Sherbeyn.
Debbie graduated from Galva High School and obtained her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Blackhawk. She worked as an LPN at Kewanee Hospital for 33 years and at Courtyard Estates in Galva. She had a love for peanut butter and toast and enjoyed watching crime shows but most of all, she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family.
