A Very special lady unexpectedly left this world April 24, 2022 after a tragic motorcycle accident in Springfield, MO.
Debra “Debbie” Lynn DeCrane, 63, was born and raised in Galva, IL to Harold “Oley” and Helen Olander. She lived in Galva for many years and raised her children there. Later she moved to Monmouth, IL where she worked for OSF Hospital and later Monmouth College. Last year she moved to Bois D’Arc, MO where she lived with her significant other Clayton Andren.
Debbie spent her free time riding their Harley, helping rescue animals, cooking amazing food for her family, spending time with her dogs; Jake, Ellie, and Chi-Chi, planting flowers in the yard and crafting. The “Cookie Queen” was known for her legendary sugar cookies, which were always requested at every holiday and special event.
Debbie was best known for being a wonderful mom and an even better grandma. Debbie loved spending time with her five grandchildren. Nothing gave her more joy!
Debbie was survived by her children, Casey (Shawna) DeCrane of Mt. Zion, IL and Jessica DeCrane of Galesburg, IL, her significant other, Clayton Andren, her siblings, Diane Willer of Galva, IL and Paula Olander of Katy, TX, five grandchildren: Jada, Sydney, Alex, Claire and Lucas, as well as many nieces and nephews.
