Delores C. “Dee” Clark, 95, of Kewanee, died at 10:13 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2026 at Courtyard Estates of Kewanee.
She was born on May 4, 1930 in DePue, IL, the daughter of John and Maria (Salazar) Marquez. She married William L. Clark on July 19, 1953 in Peoria and he preceded her in death on April 2, 1999. Survivors include her son, Donald (Sharon) Clark of Geneseo, her grandchildren; Kathy (Mitch) Colgan of Bradford, Terry (Ginny) Clark of Nebraska, Bradley (Lindsy) Clark of Arizona, Cary Jo Schaub of Florida, Tina Ince of Galesburg and Denise and David Clark, several great grandchildren and two brothers; Edward Marquez of Spring Valley, IL and Marcelino Marquez of Los Angelas, CA. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, David Clark, sisters; Carmen Barrosa, Mary Lou Blair, Josephine Christiansen and Mary Jane Marquez and brothers, Manuel and Frank Marquez.
Dee had worked at Harper-Wyman in Princeton, Boss Manufacturing, Kewanee Manufacturing, Kewanee Door Factory and as a desk clerk at the Kewanee YMCA. She was a member of Saint John Paul II Parish in Kewanee and enjoyed embroidering, cooking and taking care of her yard.
Cremation will be accorded and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 21 at Saint John Paul II Parish in Kewanee. Celebrant will be Fr. Narcis Katambe. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church with recitation of the rosary at 8:45 a.m. The inurnment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Saint John Paul II Parish. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is assisting the family with arrangements.
