Diana Chamberlain Obituary


Diana K. Chamberlain, 66, of Princeton, formerly of Galva, died at 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at her home.

She was born on January 16, 1959 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Bennett) Hahn. She married David Schmidt in 1974 and they divorced in 1994. She later married Randy H. Chamberlain on October 25, 2003 in Galva and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2014. Survivors include her two daughters, Sandra Vandersnick (James Jennings) and Sabrina Pittenger, both of Princeton, a stepson, Randy Ray Chamberlain, a daughter-in-law, Heather Rose, four brothers; Rick Hahn of Florida, Kenneth (Amanda) Hahn Jr. of Atkinson, Tom Hahn of Las Vegas, NV and Tim Hahn of Arizona, three sisters; Kenna (Randy) Ausburger of Moline, Sherry Lorenzen of Arizona and Cindie (Bryan) Nolan of Iowa, her grandchildren; Austin, Brittney, Kent, Emma, Charlie, Ashley, Angela and Alisha and three great grandchildren; Aaidyne, Aurora and Zy’Aire. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Brenda Hahn.

Diana obtained degrees in nursing and accounting at Black Hawk College East Campus. She was a licensed practical nurse, had worked as an EMT for the Geneseo Ambulance Service and as Director of the Galva Ambulance Service. She had been affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Galva. Diana was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening and doing puzzles. She cherished her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 18 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with Pastor Bryan Griem officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. The burial will be in West Jersey Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
