Diane K. Gradert

Diane K. Gradert, 86, of Galva, died at 3:50 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

She was born November 29, 1939 in Kewanee, the daughter of James and Maureen (Jones) Durick. She married Delmar L. “Del” Gradert on October 18, 1958 in Kewanee. Survivors include her husband of Galva, her three children; Kurt (Jennifer) Gradert of Somonauk, IL, Mike Gradert of Galva and Lisa Lutz of Arkdale, WI, nine grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mary Beth Hulslander and her daughter, Leslie Wooten.

Diane attended Villa de Chantal in Rock Island and graduated from Kewanee High School in 1957. She was a member of Saint John Paul II Parish in Kewanee. She enjoyed crafting and oil painting and had taught painting classes in Sandwich, IL. Diane loved her dog, Edee and was devoted to her family and cherished the time spent with them.

Cremation will be accorded and no services are planned. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is assisting the family with arrangements.
