Donna J. Carder

KEWANEE – Donna J. Carder, 83, of Kewanee, died at 1:30 a.m., Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Kewanee Care Home.

Cremation will be accorded and there will be no services. Memorials may be directed to the family. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born September 18, 1937 in Kewanee, the daughter of Robert and Mary Jane (Charleton) Watson. She married Charles E. Carder on January 5, 1957 in Kewanee and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2012. Survivors include a son, Charles (Sonja) Carder Jr. of Kewanee, a daughter, Carla (Michael) Ogorzalek of Kewanee, a daughter-in-law, Tina Carder of Abingdon, a special niece, Betty Eggimann of Kewanee, eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Edward Carder, a daughter, Norine Carder, three brothers; Jack, Don and Carl and five sisters; Eula, Virginia, Edith, Ressie and Shirley.

Donna graduated from Kewanee High School. She had worked as a CNA for the Kewanee Care Home and Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center and had also been a care giver for Henry-Stark Home Health. She was a member of the former Grace Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed shopping and playing bingo. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
