Donna Darlene Larson

GALVA – Donna Darlene Larson, 86, of Galva, died Monday, August 8, 2022.

She was born June 29, 1936 in Bishop Hill to Paul and Bessie (Vandike) Nordeen. Donna was the fifth of eight children. She grew up in Bishop Hill, beginning her school years there, then graduating from Galva High School in 1954. She married Lewis Larson on March 16, 1956 in Bishop Hill and he survives. To this union were born three children: Lisa Trail, Becky Webster and Steve Larson. She was also blessed with five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Donna was a homemaker who always put her family first. She loved unconditionally and took pride in creating a warm and welcoming home for family and friends. She had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. She left the world a better place and will be missed by all who knew her.

Cremation will be accorded and graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 17 at Galva Cemetery with Pastor Karen Martin officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Galva Freedom Fest. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.
