Douglas "Doug" Gish

Douglas P. “Doug” Gish, 70, of Kewanee, died at 7:14 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Arcadia Care at Kewanee.

He was born on December 11, 1955 in Kewanee, the son of Gail and Irene (DeSkeere) Gish. Survivors include his four siblings; Robert (Betty) Gish, Kerry (Peggy) Gish, Gail Holtschult and Julie Gish, all of Kewanee and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald.

Doug graduated from Kewanee High School in 1972 and worker as a stocker at Kroger. He enjoyed genealogy and had an artistic talent and enjoyed doing artwork.

Cremation will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 7 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee with Pastor Andrew Christman officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Kewanee Animal Shelter. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is assisting the family with arrangements.
