Dr. Bradley A. "Brad" Horack

KEWANEE – Dr. Bradley A. Horack, 55, of Kewanee, died at 5:52 a.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in the emergency room at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 17 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Rev. Kevin Drane officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, August 16 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery at Boyd's Grove in rural Bradford. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.

He was born February 26, 1966 in Princeton, IL. the son of Steven and Janet (Noder) Horack. He married Kari Wood on September 28, 2002 in Bradford. Survivors include his wife of Kewanee, his father of Bradford, a son, Will (Anisley) Horack of Davenport, IA, a daughter, Megan Horack of Kewanee, a granddaughter Amelia Rose Horack, three step-children; Heather Holtschult, Kaitlin Chizmar, and Lindsei Chizmar, eight step-grandchildren, two brothers, Eric Horack of Peoria and Greg Horack of Chillicothe, a sister Jill Walsh of Bradford and several cousins including special cousins, Jimmy Harmon and Geoffrey Horack. He was preceded in death by his mother, his grandparents, a step-son, Michael Chizmar, and a step-grandson, Chance.

Bradley was a self-employed chiropractor in Princeville. He attended high school in Bradford and then went on to receive his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic School in Davenport, IA in 1995. Bradley loved to travel with family and friends, especially to Las Vegas, Hawaii, and Florida. He had his pilots license and enjoyed flying small aircrafts. Bradley was also a Harley Davidson enthusiast and loved being around his family and friends. He was always there to lend a helping hand and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
