Dr. Carla B. Greby

Dr. Carla B. Greby, 69, of Kewanee, died at 11:46 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2025 at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 28 at Saint John Paul II Parish in Kewanee. The celebrant will be Fr. Ghislain Inai, SMA. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Inurnment will be held at Waterford Cemetery in Lewistown, IL at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born on September 3, 1955 in Chicago, the daughter of Norbert and Patricia (Sudar) Greby. She is survived by a sister, Stacie Greby of Atlanta, GA and two brothers, Mark (Mary Jane) Greby of Las Cruces, NM and Matt Greby of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lisa.

Carla graduated from Lewiston Community High School in 1973. She then attended Mississippi University for Women and then the University of Illinois-Chicago Medical School. She was a physician and had a private practice in Kewanee and later worked as a health care provider for the State of Illinois Department of Corrections at facilities in Canton and Kewanee. Dr. Greby was a member of Saint John Paul II Parish and she enjoyed fiber arts and her cats.
