Drucilla M. Kopp

KEWANEE – Drucilla M. Kopp, 90, of Kewanee, died at 10:20 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2020 at Betty’s Garden Memory Care of Kewanee.

Private interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church or to Betty’s Garden Memory Care. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born October 2, 1929 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Floyd and Ella (Ward) Gambill. She married Bertrum A. Kopp in 1948 and he preceded her in death on May 23, 2018. Survivors include her son, Brent (Rena) Kopp of Fort Myers, FL, her daughter, Babette (Richard) Norbits of Lewisville, TX, four grandchildren; Brittany, Bryce, Toby and Kelli a great grandchild, Kaden with one on the way, Gracie Mae and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Preston and Ed and three sisters; Dee, Shirley and Patty.

Drucilla graduated from Kewanee High School in 1947. She had worked in retail at Osco’s, Sullivan’s, Kmart and Montgomery Ward, all in Kewanee. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Kewanee. She was a hard-working lady who cared for her husband in her later years and she especially loved her grandchildren.
