Elia "Elsie" Sall

GALVA - Elia E. “Elsie” Sall, 64, of Galva, died at 3:11 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, March 10 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. A private committal service will be held at Galva Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

She was born on August 5, 1960 in Kewanee, the daughter of Gustavo and Bertha (Calderon) Interial. She married James “Jim” Sall on September 9, 1999 in Kewanee. He survives as do a son, Elijah Sall and his fiancée, Erin Holden, a stepson Chase and a stepdaughter, Shannon, five grandchildren, Isla, Kyla, Kaylen, Ashlyn and Brennon, five sisters, Lelia Interial, Maria “Lulu” Interial and Juana (Roger) Sturm all of Galva, Sylvia Hepner of Detroit, MI, and Lisa (Kevin) Gerard of Kewanee, a brother, Gustavo “Gus” (Becky) Interial of Galva and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Blanca Dowell.

Elsie graduated from Galva High School and from Black Hawk College East and West Campuses with a nursing degree. She worked as the director of nursing at the Kewanee Care Home and Royal Oaks Care Center in Kewanee for 25 years. She most recently worked as a surveyor for the State of Illinois with the Department of Health. She was of the Catholic faith and she enjoyed flower gardening, shopping and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
