Elijah Ryan Shipley

KEWANEE- Elijah Ryan Shipley passed peacefully in the arms of his parents on May 11, 2018.   

He was born on May 11 at 7:25 a.m. and was given lots of love and kisses before passing shortly after birth.

Elijah was the son of Joseph and Jessica (Jordan) Shipley of Kewanee. He is survived by his loving parents and adoring sisters Olivia and Isabella, his paternal grandparents Greg and Deb Shipley of Kewanee and his maternal grandparents, John Steimle and Rochelle Jordan both of Kewanee. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Jo Shipley, who is now holding him gently in Heaven. Elijah is also celebrated by several great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Elijah gave us a lifetime of love during his short time on Earth and we will forever hold him in our hearts.

A Mass of the Angels will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 17 at Visitation Church, Saint John Paul II Parish in Kewanee. Father Johndamaseni Zilimu will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery in Bradford.  Memorials may be directed to Visitation Catholic School or to Moments by Mutti. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
