Elizabeth D. "Liz" Craddock

KEWANEE- Elizabeth D. "Liz" Craddock, 86, of Kewanee, passed away peacefully at 9:00 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2025 at Arcadia Care at Kewanee.

She was born on October 29, 1938 in Canton, IL, the daughter of Thomas James “TJ” and Helen (Lewis) Pegram. She married Roger E. Craddock on June 27, 1959 in Canton and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2024. Survivors include her two daughters, Mary (Paul) Stevens of Los Alamitos, CA and Susan (Hans) Younce of Los Banos, CA, daughter-in-law, Angelyn Craddock-Breed of Wilton, IA, five grandchildren; Roger, Benjamin, Erin, Katie and Kelly and three great grandchildren; Jett, TJ and Halle. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Dr. David Craddock and two sisters, Mary Susan and Teri.

Liz had worked as a secretary for a credit union, the First United Methodist Church in Kewanee and for Petersen Health Care. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Kewanee Reading Club and was a longtime member of a bridge club with many of her closest friends. She loved following sports and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. She was also an avid reader and bridge player and enjoyed doing cross-stitch and a daily crossword puzzle.

Cremation has been accorded and a private Celebration of her Life will be held in California at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Kewanee.
