Gale A. Leasman

Gale (Sonny) Leasman passed away in his home on May 3, 2025.

He was born on September 6, 1937 in Davenport, IA. He married Sharon Daughtery on November 6, 1957. They had three children, Patricia Peed (Deceased), Connie Byers of Galva and Edward Leasman (Deceased); four grandsons, one great grandson and five great granddaughters.

Sonny served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years. He was a manufacturing manager of Advanced Metal Working Company in Kewanee. He was a member of the Salvation Army as Sgt. Major. He loved antique tractors and driving the grandkids in the parades. He was an avid fisherman and loved fishing with his brother Bob and grandsons. He also loved to play the organ and guitar.

He will be sorely missed by family and a Celebration of Life will be held in the future. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is assisting the family with arrangements.
