Gary E. McDonald

Gary E. McDonald, 58, of Galva, died Thursday, February 5, 2026 at his home.

He was born on August 15, 1967 in Kewanee, IL, the son of Raymond E. and Judith Mae (Moore) McDonald. Survivors include his brother, Rodney (Kim) McDonald of Kewanee, his sister, Teresa (Eric) Wood of Kewanee and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp and worked as a truck driver for Ratliff Bros. & Co. in Kewanee and Bell Trucking in Galva. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings.

Private inurnment will be held at Sheffield Cemetery where military rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is assisting the family with arrangements.
