Gladys M. Reed

GALVA – Gladys M. Reed, 91, of Galva, died at 10:45 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the Kewanee Care Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with her great-nephew, Jack Frisby officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lawnridge Cemetery in rural Edelstein, IL. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church in Galva.

She was born April 29, 1931 in Indiana, the daughter of Jacob and Carrie (Vest) Tucker. She married James A. Reed in 1976 and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2002. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Gladys had worked as a sales representative for Avon. She had raised Arabian horses and enjoyed playing cards.
