Gloria J. Kitterman

TOULON - Gloria J. Kitterman, 78, of Toulon, died at 11:30 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2022 at Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Cremation will be accorded and private family services will be held at Wyoming Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to an educational fund for her great-grandson Owen. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born April 2, 1944 in Kewanee, the daughter of Sophie (Dolieslager) Rosebeck. She married Larry J. Kitterman on July 13, 1963 at Visitation Church in Kewanee and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2020. Survivors include her two sons, Jamey Kitterman of Kewanee and Jeffery Kitterman of Annawan, a brother, Joseph (Ida) Rosebeck of Kewanee, her cousin, Melissa Ramsey of Wyoming, four grandchildren; Hannah, Hunter, Kooper, and Leighton and her great grandson, Owen. She was also preceded in death by her mother Sophie and a brother Jerry Rosebeck.

Gloria graduated from Kewanee High School and went on to work for Breeze in Wyoming. She was a board member for the Wyoming Methodist Church and was active in the Red Hat Society and Lions Club. Gloria enjoyed fishing and taking car rides in the country.  She especially enjoyed time with her grandkids and great-grandson.
