Greg Kenney

Greg A. Kenney, 63, of Tipton, IA, formerly of Bishop Hill, died Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at his home.

He was born May 28, 1961 in Galesburg, the son of David L. and Carol S. (Johnson) Kenney. He had been married to Celina Kemp and then later to Carrie Cunningham. Survivors include his mother of Bishop Hill, brother, Brian (Gail) Kenney of Galva, sister, Julie (Randall) Johnson of Cedar Creek, TX and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

Greg graduated from Galva High School and had worked as an assembler for Maytag. He was a Star Trek fan, otherwise known as a “Trekkie” and a history buff who enjoyed music, gaming and especially his favorite pet Yorkie, “Cookie”.

Cremation has been accorded and a visitation gathering will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Friday, July 12 at the Bishop Hill Community United Methodist Church. Private inurnment will be held at Bishop Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Bishop Hill Community United Methodist Church. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.
