Harold Nordeen

BISHOP HILL - Harold Nordeen, 83, of Bishop Hill, died at 1:28 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2025 at his home.

A graveside service with military honors by the Galva Fusiliers will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 8 at Bishop Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Legion or the VFW. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is assisting the family with arrangements.

Harold was born on October 14, 1941 in Bishop Hill in the same home that he died. He was the son of Paul and Bessie (Vandike) Nordeen. He is survived by a brother, Stewart (Kathy) Nordeen and a sister, Barbara Gipson, both of Moline and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Pauline Lee and Donna Larson, a brother Harvey and two half-brothers, Bob and Clyde.

Harold graduated from Galva High School and had served his country with the Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Nordeen Paper and Painting and belonged to the American Legion and the VFW.
