Helen L. Glasgo, 101, of Aurora, IL, formerly of Galva, passed away at 9:50 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2026 at The Pearl at the Tillers in Oswego, IL.
She was born on June 24, 1924 in Long Creek Township, IA, the daughter of Delbert A. and Ruby I. (Woods) Wilson. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Jacob Garness, two brothers, George Wilson and Donald Wilson, a sister, Bonnie Lynd, daughter-in-law, Patricia Glasgo, two grandchildren, Jack Glasgo and Jason Molitor, one great grandchild, Joseph Wallen and nieces and nephews. Survivors include two sons, James D. Glasgo (Barbara) of Kewanee and Jack D. Glasgo of San Bruno, CA, a daughter, Marla M. Hofrichter (William) of LaBelle, FL, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren plus one on the way.
Helen worked twenty-two years at the Illinois Cleaners, eight of which as Manager, and thirteen years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora until her retirement in 1987.
Cremation will be accorded and private graveside services will be held at Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or to AMVETS. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.
