Helen Jeffriess

GALVA - Helen Jeffriess, 81, of Galva, died at 12:18 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at OSF Saint Luke Medical in Kewanee.

She was born September 14, 1943 in Brisbane, Australia, the daughter of Bernard and Mabel (Cooper) Jeffriess. Survivors include her two adopted daughters, Eloise and Isabella and four siblings; Ann, Janet, John and Joanne and a dear friend, Inge Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Helen had worked mainly as a social worker and also as a nurse.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society-Kewanee Chapter. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.
