She then built a career in graphic art and communications working for Gibson Greeting Cards, Cincinnati, OH, Bradley University, Peoria, IL and Dynamic Graphics, Peoria, IL. Holly loved family gatherings, reading, arts and crafts hobbies, photography, music, and well-behaved dogs. Her happiest memories were the numerous family vacations along the western shores of Michigan, where she would spend hours searching for and retrieving Petoskey stones. Silver Lake, Point Betsie, Frankfurt, Traverse City and Harbor Springs, Michigan were some of her favorite locations to visit in a vacation tradition that started when she was a girl and sustained over four generations of her family. She maintained great interest in her family up until the end of her life, both towards the past by keeping a careful written and photographic genealogy dating back over a century, and to the future by an active interest in her nieces, nephews, second cousins and their children. She was thrilled to become a grandmother and showed warmth to all whom she encountered on her life’s journey.
