GALVA – Jackie Lee Tracy, 88, of Galva, died at 2:52 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2021 at the Hillcrest Home in rural Geneseo.
Cremation will be accorded and no services are planned at this time. Private inurnment will be held at Galva Cemetery at a later date where military rites will be accorded by the Galva Fusiliers. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.
He was born April 6, 1933 in Kewanee, the son of Jack and Susie (Price) Tracy. He married Iva Marie Turner and she preceded him in death on March 14, 2021. Survivors include a son, Earl Tracy of LaFayette, IL, two daughters, Vicky (Ron) Werkheiser of Kewanee and Sue (Ed) Secrist of Bishop Hill, seven grandchildren; Tracy (Romie) Johnson, Lacy (Jessie) Stone, Carl (Nikki) Werkheiser, Ryan and Eric Werkheiser, Kiersten (Johnny) Howard and Karlie (Brandon) Greene and nine great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Jackie served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a self-employed painter owning and operating Tracy’s Painting. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
