GALESBURG – James Dale Likes, 76, of Galesburg, died Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at his home.

Cremation will be accorded and private graveside services will be held at Victoria Cemetery in Victoria, IL. Memorials may be directed to the family and can be sent to Rux Funeral Home, 313 Market St., Galva, IL 61443.

He was born September 9, 1943 in Victoria, the son of James F. and Ruth G. (Strom) Likes. Survivors include his two sisters, Janice (Richard) Evans of Galva and Jean (Gary) Burnett of Galesburg and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

James worked in the highway department for the Illinois Department of Transportation.
