Janie Lynn Cantwell

KEWANEE- Janie L. Cantwell, 56, of Kewanee, died at 10:20 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2020 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Cremation will be accorded and no services are planned at this time. Memorials may be directed to the family. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born July 30, 1963 in Kewanee, the daughter of Jack Nimrick. She was raised by her grandmother, Dorothy Witte. She married Jason Cantwell on December 21, 2012. Survivors include her husband of Kewanee, four sons; Joey (Autumn) Janey and Justin (Jennifer) Janey, Timmy Cantwell and Phillip Cantwell, all of Kewanee, a daughter, Sara Brimhall of Kewanee, several siblings; Patty, Jack Allen, Jackie, Jeff, Jean “Boo” and Sharon and six grandchildren; L.J., Jaxon, Jonah, Addysin, Ayden and Elliot. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and her granddaughter, Allahna Ray-lynn.

Janie graduated from Kewanee High School and from Black Hawk East as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She had worked as an LPN in home health care. She enjoyed reading and she especially loved her family.
